Prints From Last Semester

These are prints I did for a mezzotint/dry-point class last semester:

They were all tied thematically together. My idea was they were all characters in the same post-nuclear fallout world.

Drawings From Last Semester

I had a Surrealism Drawing class last semester, here are a few of the drawings I completed for it.

I did this one as a series studying movement.

I still have a few to scan, but I think these are some of the better ones.

Lex Luger

I drew this based on Lex Luger's plain clothes appearance on the very first televised WCW Nitro.

For those unfamiliar with Lex Luger, he was a popular late 80s/90s wrestler for WWF(now WWE) and the WCW [among others]. He was a big muscle head who's finishing move was the Torture Rack, which was amazing as a child, but kind of silly looking as a semi-grown up.

More Sketchbookery

A few more drawings. I did all of these at a friends house last night. My hand hurts.

Summer Sketchbook Excerpts Part Two

So a majority of these came from a sketching session at the mall. The first two of the table were from a sweet little cafe/coffee shop type thing.

All of them were done in color, but for some reason they scanned in B&W and I'm too lazy to rescan them.

Summer Drawing Course Sketchbook Excerpts

I just completed a summer drawing course, it was challenging and fun. I'll post some of the pieces I completed during the course over the next couple of weeks. I'll start with some of the sketches I did during that time.

What I've Been Up To Lately

Hulk Hogan Reveals His Knowledge of Jake the Snake's Betrayal
based on Da Vinci's "Last Supper"

The Betrayal of Hulk Hogan
based on Caravaggio's "The Taking of Christ"

Brawn over Brains
based on Raphael's "The School of Athens"

So for the last set in my Digital Printmaking class I decided to recast figures from classic paintings with wrestling figures from my childhood. So take that Da Vinci, Caravaggio, and Raphael!
